Digital Photography 101 Workshop
For beginner & intermediate photographers
This workshop will take your creativity to the next level!
This Saturday workshop is structured for both the beginning photographer who needs help with a new camera or intermediate type who hopes to expand on their editing skills. This workshop was created in response to specific requests for a comprehensive workshop that covers a little of everything and adjusts to the interests of the particular group.
We will spend time discussing the various camera choices on the market in addition to the many setting options to consider. We will talk about shooting family groups, children and events in addition to tips on landscape photography, architecture and artificial lighting in addition to specific topics of interest as our class progresses. We will also discuss how to maximize on existing lighting conditions and the many image choice and framing techniques that I have learned over three decades as a pro photographer.
You have the eye for the shot but how do you set the camera right?
You know that you could take amazing shots if you could just figure the camera out. Don't feel like the Lone Ranger! Everyone struggles to understand the technology and learn to use it to create awesome stuff. That's what we are doing in this workshop ... discussing and learning how to use the amazing technology we have in digital cameras and software - to get that shot!!
After a discussion and instruction on general camera settings and shooting considerations, we will do some shooting of subjects convenient to our workshop environment to include people, exteriors, landscapes, children, interiors, etc. Then we will be getting into image organization, processing and editing.
You will learn the workflow that I have developed over decades as a pro but we will be focussing on the workflow that will work for you - and it will al be presented in such a way that YOU can understand. That will include giving you a thorough understanding of how digital photography works, file types and considerations, shooting in RAW vs JPG, Lightroom editing a and organization, Photoshop editing, etc. etc.
You will get the most out of the workshop if you come with a laptop computer loaded with current versions of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. This way you can follow along as we all work together to edit your own images.
Armed with your newly gained arsenal of increased knowledge and understanding in both shooting and image processing techniques ... life will never be the same!
You will go home with NEW understanding that will make you a better photographer!
